I create sculptures using 3D printing technology. I "copy" and "paste" particles of the virtual world into "our" reality. Situated in a gallery space, they acts as quotes from behind the screen or monitor.

Using digital tools does not, in my case, mean mass production or a flight from art. Using a 3D printer requires knowledge of information science and technology. You need to be aware of the possibilities and limitations of this machine, but also – primarily – the perspective of the artist.

In my work, I usually find a balance between what is digital and what is real. I look, and as an artist I record, what occurs at the interface between these two worlds. I draw inspiration from different sources and phenomena, but it's not like in my work with print I want to realize my every vision at any cost. More often I react in a creative way to what the machine "suggests" to me.

The dynamic development of 3D printers and scanners offers sculptors enormous opportunities to create. And places new challenges before them – they will soon lose their monopoly on mapping the spatial shape of the reality that surrounds them. But the use of new 3D printing technology does not take the responsibility for the works created from artists. They will continue to use their knowledge and skills; they will operate with formal means to gain new meanings and possibilities.
